Aphrodite Camello​

Aphrodite Camello is an actress, improviser, and writer. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband Mike and their daughter. Known for her comedic acting, Aphrodite has found a way to incorporate her drama training to ground herself in comedy.  She studied Regional Theatre in the conservatory at Webster University and CSUN before being accepted into the conservatory program at The Second City Hollywood which culminated in a 12 week review entitled “Apathy Ever After.”  It was here that she really found her comedic voice and learned how to use improv to write. In addition, Aphrodite has studied with G. Charles Wright in his Master Class, Scott Sedita in his Comedy Master Class, including a special Master Class with Brad Garrett, and at the Groundlings Theatre.You’ve seen Aphrodite on NBC, TBS, CBS, MTV, and Nickelodeon. She has appeared in several tv and digital series including “Female Moments” alongside comedian Heather McDonald, “Game Shakers” with Kel Mitchell, and “Actress(es): a web series” in which she co-wrote, starred and produced alongside Dream’s Melissa Schuman.  Aphrodite has also been the lead in the short films “Falling Awake”, “Bystander” and most recently, “Palm Sunday.” Off camera, Aphrodite is very involved in her community.  She is an LA native and volunteers regularly with The Art of Elysium, bringing acting and writing to children’s hospitals, schools, skid row shelters, and the elderly.  She is also an active member of the organization’s Host Committee for the annual Heaven Gala, which funds the entire year of the charity’s programming and is always a unique one night art installation, designed by a new visionary each year.  Aphrodite is a proud member of Share, Inc., brought in by Natalie Lander in 2019.  She dances in the show at the annual Boomtown Gala, held each year at the Beverly Hilton hotel alongside the ladies of Share. She is honored to join the Board and continue the work, mission and legacy of the amazing ladies who have come before her.
